KNITTING & CROCHETING CIRCLE

Tuesdays at 11:00 am or 7:00 pm

 

 

The Knitting & Crocheting Circle will always meet on a Tuesday, but the time of the meeting will vary between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm.  See the calendar for specific dates and times.

 

Please bring two # 10 knitting needles and yarn and/or an h crochet hook and yarn.

Lea Shupp, author of No One Hears Me Crying, a non-fiction book about dealing with the loss of a loved one, will be here to speak from personal experience to anyone dealing with a similar situation.  Please call the Library for more information at 973-838-3262.

BULLYING PROGRAM

Wednesday, September 22

Kevin Ceragno, the author of a teen novel called Troubled Lives, will present a program on bullying at the Library on Wednesday, September 22 from 6:45 pm - 7:45 pm.  This program offers awareness for all parents, teachers and students about the effects of bullying and offers some resolutions.  All programs are free of charge.  Please call or visit the Library to reserve your place, as space is limited.

 

COMPUTER CLASSES

Tuesdays beginning October 5

from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

COLLEGE PLANNING SEMINAR

High School students and their parents should not miss this worthwhile seminar with Steven Sarat & David Slater from College Benefits Research Group.  Topics covered will be how to choose the best college for your student and your pocketbook, student positioning, increasing your chances of getting into your dream college and five questions you must have answered before applying to college.  All programs are free of charge.  Please call or visit the Library to reserve your place, as space is limited.

RESUME WRITING WORKSHOP

Wednesday, November 17

from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

 

 

This program will examine all the myths surrounding the construction of the resume including length, audience for the document and their motivators, basis of the hiring decision, electronic vs. hard copy, prejudices vs. full disclosure, etc.  The three problems that exist in everyone's resume will be reviewed and discussed in detail.  Participants are encouraged to bring a current copy of their resume to the program.  All programs are free of charge.  Please call or visit the Library to reserve your place, as space is limited.
