for elementary school readers has proven

of fun!! We read some great books, talk
about them, share our ideas, and do

SUMMER READING
PROGRAM KICK-OFF PARTY |

Signs-ups
start and continue throughout this 7
week program. This year's theme,
"Make a Splash" is designed to encourage
children of all ages and abilities to
continue using their reading skills when
school is out for the summer.
Children are asked to read 3 books or 3
chapters of a book to get a reward each
week. Preschool age children are
encouraged to listen to stories read to
them by parents/siblings/caregivers.
Prizes and incentives will be given to
participants, and the Library will host
fun events for all. Join us for a
fun afternoon and pick up your child's
reading log at the party.
Refreshments will be served.

PAINTING &
DRAWING LESSONS |

Schwints will be giving painting and
drawing lessons for two different age
groups. Space is limited to 20
children in each group, so sign-ups are
mandatory.

program is geared toward beginner
readers in first and second grade or any
child who wishes to practice reading
aloud. Come meet "Snuggles"
and her owner Martha Dodd.
"Snuggles" is a
friendly, cuddly, well mannered Saluki mix.
Read her the story of your choice.
This program encourages
children to read in a relaxing
pressure-free environment to a charming and
loving dog. Sign up for your
child's 15 minute session with
"Snuggles."
